Ceremony - 11:30 AM
(Guests may arrive 11:00 AM - parking garage near Duke Chapel opens its gates at 11 AM, Guests seated in chapel by 11:30 AM)
Reception - 4:00 PM
Originating as a Filipino military tradition, a boodle fight is a meal in which finger-food is placed on a long table atop banana leaves. Ends at 3:00 PM.
Note: This is separate from the wedding event and is simply a family & friend gathering before they travel or for those that are still sticking around. I would not consider this a "required" event to attend. I say this in order for people not to be forced to stay, as well as there being limited space planned for everyone attending the Boodle Fight.
For most guests we may only have your mailing address or even no contact information at all. It would be most helpful to us if you shared with us your (Full Name/Mailing Address/Email/Phone) for either one or all of the members of your household after receiving a Save the Date/Invitation. This will allow us to manage your attendance to the wedding and other events.
***Know if we have not received any explicit indication of your attendance by August 1, 2019 by 11:59pm, we will not have a prepared space, seating, or food for you.
If you have any questions or concerns, you might find the answer in our website, but if you don't find anything ask them through any of our methods of contact.
RSVP by website: The website RSVP now includes a question about what dinner entree you would like to have and each individual in your group can express their choice. You are also able to leave a message about allergies or special diets you are under. (Note: You will be going through the whole RSVP again, unless you haven't already)
RSVP by mail: My mailing address will be indicated on the upcoming wedding invitation and an RSVP card is included.
RSVP by e-mail: My email is email@example.com. This is the most straightforward and easiest way to reach me.
RSVP by Facebook message: If you manage to find my name (Kyla Salomon) and match it to my face you are welcome to leave me a message of your attendance and entree decision.
RSVP by call & text: It will be harder to reach me if you call, but you are welcome to start with a call. If I don't answer please leave me a text or voicemail with your full name. I'm sharing a Google Voice number and it acts the same way as a regular number. Kyla's Google Voice: (717) 461-2472
If you have questions about what to include in your RSVP or how to use the website RSVP, these questions are answered in the Questions: RSVP Section on the website.
